Just a place for me

a photo of a woman in a place of her own

Just a place for me, a poem about finding space to be one’s self. Benbo Smith captures that longing for the individual space we all covet.

Just a place for me

Oh if I could find a place.

Not a building, a public space,

but A place in this world,

just for me,

Just a place, a place that’s mine,

and mine alone.

A place in this world I can be me.

Oh then I would feel, that I could be,

The very person that god had placed me to be.
